Deep into the first half of Wednesday's game against the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James scored a layup that moved him into fourth place on the all-time National Basketball Association scoring list, surpassing Michael Jordan's 32,292 career points.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James rebuffed any notion of sitting out any of the team's remaining games, saying Monday night that "unless I'm hurt, I'm not sitting games".

Woods pulls out of Bay Hill with neck strain
Adam Hadwin, Corey Conners and Roger Sloan are at Bay Hill for the second stop in the PGA Tour's Florida swing. Woods finished tied for second at the Valspar a year ago, and it seems as if he would come back if he could.

James had entered the game just 12 points behind Jordan, who finished his career with a total of 32,292 points.

When LeBron James started the Wednesday night game against Denver Nuggets, there was no hype on social media and there was too little pre-match build up about the record he was about to break. He now trails only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387 points), Karl Malone (36,928) and Kobe Bryant (33,643). James has said he grew up in Akron admiring Jordan as "the best ever" while he led Chicago to six championships in eight years during the 1990s. However, he is unlikely to be above him for much longer, and James is poised to surpass him on the points list next season. He made us look like really good coaches in Cleveland.

He's averaging 27.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists this season. LeBron hasn't missed the playoffs since the 2004-2005 season, but seems resigned to his fate this year.

Los Angeles wanted another veteran presence on its young squad, but losses in four of the team's past five games left both the Lakers and Anthony's camp wondering if it was the right time to bring him into "an unsettled environment", the report said. "Throughout it all, keep your head high, and you keep pushing forward".
