Brewing storm could bring dumping of snow

Any snow is expected to transition into freezing rain overnight and into Tuesday morning, the weather service said.

On Tuesday morning, a winter storm with significant snow, freezing rain, and strong winds is expected to move into our area. Around an inch or two of snow will fall at the most, along with ice accumulation that may close schools.

First, it appears that the period of sleet will be shorter...that means more freezing rain to accumulate on trees and power lines.

But snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 cm and blowing snow Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday.
