Nantes Demand Payment From Cardiff City For Emiliano Sala

Cardiff City have been left stunned after Nantes demanded payment for the £15million transfer of Emiliano Sala, who is missing and feared dead, after his flight went off-radar on a journey from France to Cardiff.

In a statement, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said: "Following extensive visual examination of the accident site using the remotely operated vehicle (ROV), it was chose to attempt recovery operations".

The Premier League club feels it necessary for the rescue operation in the Channel to be concluded and for both the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) and the police to conclude their investigations, before any payments are made.

'The body is now being taken to Portland to be passed into the care of the Dorset Coroner, ' a statement read.
