West Virginia University's football program announced that former Oklahoma quarterback Austin Kendall has officially transferred into the program. He becomes the latest in an impressive run of transfer quarterbacks, following 2017 Heisman Trophy victor Baker Mayfield and 2018 Heisman victor Kyler Murray.

In his piece in The Players Tribune, where he thanked Alabama for what he experienced there, both as an athlete and an accomplished student who earned his degree in three years, he also discussed his next chapter after deciding to transfer to Oklahoma.

Hurts appeared in all but two games this season, including the SEC Championship when he stepped up to lead Alabama to victory over Georgia after Tagovailoa suffered an injury. Hurts played mop-up duty in a 44-16 defeat.

Quarterback transfers are the new norm in college football.

Arsenal v Chelsea: Unai Emery battles to head off a crisis
Emery's men could kick off in sixth place if Manchester United get a positive result against Brighton earlier in the day. I spoke with some of them and they are quite happy, but you don't forget what Arsene Wenger achieved in this club.

Kendall would have had to sit out the upcoming season, leaving him with only year of eligibility remaining.

Kyler Murray transferred to the Sooners from Texas A&M, and put together an even better season than Mayfield in his lone year under Riley.

Hurts cemented himself as an Alabama legend, and became an inspiration for kids everywhere due to his selflessness. He completed 51 of 70 passes for 765 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions, and he rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns.

Over three seasons, Hurts has combined for 5,626 yards and 48 touchdowns through the air while tallying a combined 1,976 yards and 23 scores on the ground. Locksley is facing a rebuilding job at Maryland, and in a division with Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State, the one-year addition of Hurts wasn't likely to push them toward the top of the division this year.

Golden State Warriors score 51 points in first quarter against Denver Nuggets
It was the kind of casually soul-destroying performance that makes it seem as though they can do this whenever they choose. Denver entered the night with the best record in the West, just a half-game ahead of the Warriors. "It's just one game".

"The most obvious notable example is Jalen Hurts because we need more guys like him", Riley said.

Orchestrating Oklahoma's aerial assault next year, it's not a stretch of the imagination to see him at the Heisman ceremony alongside his former teammate, Tagovailoa, and Clemson's golden boy Trevor Lawrence.

What could be working in the Horns favor, and the rest of the Big 12 teams not named Oklahoma, is the track record of inconsistency and inaccuracy for Jalen Hurts in the Alabama passing game.

Duke Tops Florida State With Last-Second Cam Reddish Buzzer-Beater
Savoy made a pair of free throws with 15.8 seconds left, just seconds after forcing a turnover, to put Florida State ahead 78-76. Duke was without Cam Reddish who sat out due to illness and Tre Jones left the game early in the first half with an injury.
