"We're not going to release him, that's not on the table". As Dulac pointed out, Brown is slated to receive a $2.5-million bonus from the club on March 17 and logic tells us the Steelers would more than likely target that as their decision date.

Some context: Brown reportedly requested a trade early last week after he sat out of the Steelers season finale, following a dispute with Ben Rothlisberger.

The Post-Gazette reports the team has not been in contact with Brown, who has not returned repeated phone calls from Rooney and Tomlin.

The filing did not indicate whether the polling information involved internal campaign data or when exactly it was provided. But according to The Hill , court watchers were able to see the whole filing by copying and pasting the redacted sections.

Rooney said the team will do its best to make things right with Brown, but it appears the damage has already been done.

Within a few hours after the newspaper posted Rooney's comments, Brown tweeted a photo of himself and Rooney shaking hands, with the caption, "Good Business #Boomin".

Sending the ultimate shot that anyone can possibly do in the 21st century, Brown really stuck it to the Steelers with this one. Following the four-year, $68 million contract extension he signed with the team two offseasons ago, the Steelers would incur a major salary-cap hit.

Chelsea closing in on Gonzalo Higuain capture
Sarri has not lost his desire to sign Higuain and it is claimed the Argentine has given the green light to the move. Higuain is on-loan at AC Milan from Juventus , which makes the deal a hard one to negotiate, especially in January.

The 49ers have been in the market for a true No. 1 wide receiver since John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan took over. Brown also is very close with Pro Bowl TE George Kittle and has started following several 49ers players and the team's official account on Twitter, so make of that what you wish.

Despite his excellent play, oddsmakers don't anticipate Brown being back in Pittsburgh next season. And expect the Steelers to receive a number of offers. We have two months to go before we can do anything.

Adding numbers alone won't solve the problems the Steelers had previous year, but the fact Tomlin's considering structural changes is a sign that he realizes he needs to adapt himself.
