Kevin Hart says he’s considering Oscar hosting gig again

As we reported last month, Kevin Hart stepped down as the host of this year's Academy Awards once he faced backlash for anti-LGBTQ comments he made years ago.

Prodded by Ellen DeGeneres, comic Kevin Hart says he'll reconsider his decision to step down as host of the Oscars.

"When it happened", he said of his comments resurfacing, "my first thought is, I'm going to ignore it because it's ten years old. Let me assess, just to sit in the space and really think and you and I will talk before anything else".

Hart, 39, initially rejected the Academy's demand he apologise, arguing he said sorry when the offending tweets first emerged. I've apologized for it; I'm not gonna pay it any mind. "I know he doesn't need to, and that's one of the reasons I commended the stance he took".

Clemson , ranked No. 2, and Alabama will face off in the playoffs for the fourth year in a row, and have split two title games. Clemson may or may not be able to knock off the Tide outright, but is a strong bet to keep this game very close.

In the article, titled The Problem With Ellen DeGeneres' Kevin Hart Interview, Anderson said that the interview with Hart should have instead been conducted by a queer person of colour, such as Robin Roberts or Don Lemon. "Because that was wrong".

"As I said to you earlier, it's flawless that all this happened because there has to be a conversation about homophobia", DeGeneres said. "We are a huge group of people who love you and want to see you host the Oscars", she said. I believe in second chances. She then told him that she had spoken to the Academy and wants Hart to take back the gig, starting the hashtag #OscarsNeedHart.

Ellen DeGeneres' attempt to clear comedian Kevin Hart's name and reinstate him as Oscars host did not go over well with critics online. Not everyone heard, read, or was aware of Hart's past apology, so for many these old tweets and jokes were brand new.

"I have no problem with her interviewing him provided it is a real interview", someone wrote. She also hoped that if Hart does end up hosting, he uses the situation as a "teaching moment", something Sunny Hostin also agreed with. I've yet to go back to that version of the immature comedian that once was. "Either I can move forward, or I can't". This is a conversation I needed to have. You've done it. Don't let these people win.

Since then, China has arrested two Canadians on charges of endangering national security in what appeared to be retaliation. Her arrest has also heaped uncertainty on efforts by Washington and Beijing to reduce tensions in their trade war.

In the clips, Hart said he recognized that his comments on Twitter were unsafe and said he had apologized and grown in the 10 years since he made them.

Capping a swift and dramatic fallout, Hart announced in December, merely two days after being hired for the job, that he was stepping down as Oscars host because he didn't want to be a distraction.

With no host set for the February date, hopefully the Academy will find a different way to proceed.

After people were upset that the comedian suspiciously sounded like Mike Pence, the Academy gave him an ultimatum: Apologize or quit.
