The new Avangard missile system is invincible for today's and future air defense systems and missile defense systems.

During the flight, the missile made maneuvers in vertical and horizontal directions, according to the anticipated drawn trajectory, said the same source.

"The Avangard is invulnerable to intercept by any existing and prospective missile defense means of the potential adversary", Putin said after the test, adding the new weapon would enter service in 2019 with the military's Strategic Missile Forces.

Two Tourists, Tour Guide Dead After Bomb Explosion Near Giza Pyramids
Ten Vietnamese tourists and the Egyptian driver were wounded when the device, hidden near a wall, exploded, officials said. The bus hit the device after it went off its planned route without alerting security forces, Mr Madbouly added .

Despite having a mass in its start between 50 and 60 tons, the Avangard (RS-26) travels at a hypersonic speed with a maximum range of six thousand kilometers.

The weapon was originally announced in March, among an array of others, with Putin saying they could hit nearly any point in the world and evade a US-built missile shield.

He said at the time that Cold War tensions between the U.S. and Russian Federation "no longer exist" and that in the aftermath of 9/11, the biggest threats come from "terrorists who strike without warning".

Shaun Marsh and Head then added 36 runs for the fourth wicket and brought some semblance of stability to the Australian innings. It left the home side - chasing India's mammoth first-innings tally of 443 for 7 declared - tottering on 89 for 4 at lunch.

Launched from the Dombarovsky missile base in the Ural Mountains, the weapon struck a practice target 3,700 miles away on the Kamchatka peninsula. "Russian Federation has obtained a new type of strategic weapon". The Avangard is a hypersonic warhead re-entry vehicle that is created to outpace and outmaneuver USA missile defense systems.

Putin was speaking after overseeing what the Kremlin said was a pre-deployment test of the new missile system, called Avangard.

Yet Avangard-type platforms do enable Russian Federation and China (which is also actively developing its own hypersonic reentry vehicle system) to threaten the other areas.Over the next decade expect Moscow and Beijing to use their existing hypersonic technology to develop greater non-nuclear standoff strike capabilities against key USA assets such as major military command headquarters or aircraft carriers. It's a big moment in the life of the armed forces and in the life of the country.

Trump presses Democrats on border wall funding ahead of Senate meeting
Large sections of the almost 2,000-mile (3,200 kilometer) border with Mexico are already divided by fences and other barriers. Schlapp said the chances that Republicans would put up enough votes to override a presidential veto "are pretty much nil".

He further emphasized no other country had hypersonic weapons.
