Certain cauliflower, red and green lettuce recalled due to E.coli

The recall was triggered by a recall in the United States resulting in an investigation into an outbreak of E-coli linked to the consumption of romaine lettuce.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling certain cauliflower, red leaf lettuce and green leaf lettuce produced by Adam Bros.

Last week, the FDA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that E. coli associated with the romaine lettuce outbreak had been detected in the sediment of a reservoir used to irrigate the farm.

You may want to check your refrigerator as the E. Coli outbreak for romaine lettuce is expanding. However, romaine lettuce is not on the recall list. None of the filtered, treated water has tested positive for E. coli, all E. coli tests returning negative.

Giant Eagle is voluntarily recalling red and green leaf lettuce sold in western Pennsylvania from December 3 - 14.
