Angela Ponce makes history at Miss Universe

Angela Ponce, Spain's Miss Universe hopeful and the pageant's first-ever transgender contestant, was unable to capture the crown on Sunday night - and she couldn't have cared less.

Until 2012, trans women weren't allowed to compete in Miss Universe, and Ponce is the first to make it to the big stage since that ban was lifted.

This year, Miss Universe will be held in Bangkok.

She also walked down the runway.
