Urban Meyer, 54, has retired as the head coach at Ohio State where he was 82-9 in seven seasons and won the National Championship in 2014.

The news of Urban Meyer's retirement at Ohio State shouldn't come as a shock to anybody.

Buckeyes athletic director Gene Smith tweeted in September that Meyer would be the head coach for "quite some time", following a report that linked Day to the job.

Meyer is 82-9 at in seven seasons at Ohio State, with a 7-0 record against MI and three Big Ten titles.

Meyer won two national championships with the Florida Gators before taking the head coaching spot in Columbus ahead of the 2012 season.

Qualcomm's 2019 flagship chipset is called the Snapdragon 855
The company didn't expound upon this other than to say that it will bring "next level gaming" to a new generation of smartphones. Not only that, Qualcomm has stated on stage that the AI Engine on Snapdragon 855 has 2x more performance than its competitors.

Brown, who was hired to coach the Tar Heels last week after spending five years off the field, said Meyer's decision has put things into perspective for him.

Smith was sacked this year after being accused by his ex-wife of domestic abuse.

As NPR's James Doubek reported, "Meyer fired Zach Smith, an assistant coach, on July 23 after learning of reports that".

Syria walks back claim of downed Israeli fighter jet
"Air defense intercepts hostile targets over al-Kiswah and downed them", Syrian state media quoted a military source as saying. An unconfirmed report from Ria Novosti said that an Israeli Air Force jet and four Israeli missiles were taken down.

Operating under the belief that Meyer will return to coaching in the next two years, these are some of the colleges that could potentially be fits for Meyer to get back in the game. To me, after being around him it might be easy for me to say that, how special of a player he is, but to me it's obvious. Day spent three games as head coach to start the season, winning all three.

There is plenty of caution - like hiring a guy who has just three games of head coaching experience - but Day's future is as bright as any assistant coach in the nation, so Ohio State just chose to keep him home and turn his future into theirs.

But his time away from the game of football didn't last long when he was contacted about the opening at Ohio State.

Everyone had to chase Meyer, who would win two titles, and that chase led to to the hire of Nick Saban, who arrived in the SEC two years after Meyer got to Florida. Big college football programs pay big bucks for that kind of success, and Ohio State is no exception. He later served as offensive coordinator at both Temple and Boston College, working for former Meyer assistant Steve Addazio. Since then, he's coached at Utah (2003-04), Florida (2005-10), and Ohio State (2011-18). He earned close to $6 million in 2017 before the school extended his contract and gave him a raise. Though Meyer had known about accusations against Smith, which dated back years, he kept him on the staff and at one point told the press that he didn't know as much about the situation as was later revealed.
