Late Thursday, border officials said they arrested two caravan members on assault charges as well as illegally entering the U.S. In one instance, an 18-year-old from Honduras was caught with four others and elbowed an agent, officials said.

The two other men apprehended are aged 22 and 38.

The spokesman warned of a possible Hepatitis outbreak due to unsanitary conditions at the Benito Juarez Sports Complex near the San Ysidro U.S. -Mexico Port of Entry, as thousands of migrants have been put up there despite the complex only being able to hold 1,000 people in normal conditions.

The suspect from El Salvador was detained about 15 minutes later in the same area near Imperial Beach.

"The perpetrators will be prosecuted", she said then.

United States stocks turn higher on Fed minutes; dollar recovers slightly
After the financial crisis erupted in 2008, the Fed kept rates at historically low levels to revive the ailing economy. At that time, Fed policymakers indicated another hike in December, three more in 2019 and probably one more in 2020.

The agent said he avoided the punch and wrestled the suspect to the ground, but the man momentarily escaped and ran south toward the border fence, court documents said.

USA authorities are working on a new system to better record evidence if similar circumstances arise in the future, the official said. He, too, was charged Friday with assault on a federal officer and illegal entry.

USA authorities say assailants threw a "hail of rocks" at agents, striking four who escaped serious injury. As an agent approached Rodriguez, he allegedly turned and pointed a loaded pistol at the agent.

Earlier in the day, streams of migrants laden with heavy backpacks, tents and blankets, much of it soaking wet, loaded buses leaving their original migrants shelter within sight of the border.

When Customs and Border Patrol officials arrested 46-year-old Miguel Angel Ramirez after he illegally entered the US near San Diego, he was only four months out of a Honduran prison after serving 10 years for homicide and three years for robbery.

Larry Johnson Rips Kareem Hunt, 'Should've Learned From My Mistakes'
A verbal altercation broke out into a physical fight involving Hunt, although again, no charges were filed by police. But the incident escalates when Hunt runs into his friend who then falls into the woman knocking her down.

Officials say it appeared most of the rocks were thrown from the Mexico side and no one was charged on the USA side with assaulting the agents.

San Diego Sector Chief Patrol Agent Rodney Scott publicly thanked the Honduran Consulate for aiding in the investigation of Ramirez.

But The Intercept's investigation found that a change in the way assaults were reported in Texas' Rio Grande Valley led to numerous additional assault reports over the prior year. One of the two still unidentified males was previously deported from the USA and could face federal charges for illegal re-entry.

According to The Intercept, conventional law enforcement accounting would tally the incident as seven agents assaulted - not seven agents times six perpetrators times three projectiles.
