Jamal Khashoggi's fiancee and others will speak about his life and legacy on Friday, one month after he was killed in Saudi Arabia's consulate in Istanbul.

Khashoggi - a U.S. resident and contributor to The Washington Post - was killed in Saudi Arabia's consulate in Istanbul on October 2, where he had gone to obtain paperwork for his upcoming marriage to Hatice Cengiz, who was left waiting for him outside.

"I would like him to support Turkey's efforts in trying to bring light to this situation and to discover the whereabouts of his body", said Cengiz, who was waiting outside the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul on October 2 when the journalist went inside to obtain paperwork for their planned marriage, never to re-emerge.

"Khashoggi's body was not in need of burying", said the official.

Khashoggi was killed after visiting the Istanbul consulate on October 2, Saudi officials have acknowledged.

Shortly after the op-ed was published, Yasin Aktay, an advisor to Turkey's Recep Tayyip Erdogan, told the Hurriyet daily the Saudi team has disposed of Mr Khashoggi's body by dismembering and dissolving it.

Abdulhamit Gul said that Saudi Arabia's top prosecutor - who spent three days in Istanbul as part of joint Turkish-Saudi efforts to investigate the killing - had failed to answer Turkish investigators' questions about the location of the writer's remains as well as who ordered the killing.

Turkey has steered away from publicly blaming Saudi Arabia for the killing.

Turkish investigators believe the journalist, who was living in exile, was strangled when he visited to collect documents for his forthcoming marriage to a Turkish citizen.
