Prithvi Shaw becomes Indias youngest debut century-maker

Prithvi Shaw made debut in the worldwide cricket with the first test match against and as it was expected like his career, he again made a century in his debut match.

Shaw is the seventh youngest global batsman to score his first Test century. He is the 293rd cricketer to represent India in Test cricket and at the age of 18 years 329 days Shaw became India's second youngest opener after Vijay Mehra, who was 17 years 265 days at Bombay's Brabourne Stadium against the Kiwis in Dec 1955.

Opening for India, the 18-year-old Shaw scored 134 off 154 balls, hitting 19 boundaries.

If India is banking on the "tinge of green", West Indies also has the likes of Shannon Gabriel and Jason Holder, who could certainly prove effective on a tad bouncy surface.
