Is China Really Interfering in the US Elections?

U.S. President Donald Trump has for the first time called to order a meeting of the UN Security Council, where he accused China of attempting to interfere in the upcoming U.S. Congressional elections.

Beijing was quick to respond, urging Washington to stop slandering China and claiming that the Chinese government does not interfere in other countries' internal affairs.

"They do not want me, or us, to win", Trump told the Security Council, "because I am the first president ever to challenge China on trade, and we are winning on trade".

President Donald Trump held a press conference at the United Nations in NY on the tail end of his bilateral meetings with U.N. members and his speech before the United Nations General Assembly.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi also is speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations on Friday, and Russia's Sergey Lavrov is planning an afternoon news conference.

PRESIENT Donald Trump is insisting he has evidence that China is attempting to meddle in the U.S. midterm elections - but that it "respected" his "very, very large brain".

However, India's ruling BJP government had opposed the petition, insisting that adultery should remain a criminal offence. In 1985, Chief Justice YV Chandrachud had upheld the constitutional validity of Section 497 ( adultery ).

The editorial went on to say that his position on trade with China is something that could hurt the president's party in the upcoming mid-term elections and his aspirations for re-election in 2020.

"They don't look like ads, they look like editorials and they're not - they're by China", Trump said. Notably, Russia is believed to have interfered in the 2016 election on Trump's behalf; a closely watched Special Counsel investigation is attempting to determine the extent of that interference, and whether the Trump campaign itself was involved.

It is not the first time someone in the Trump administration has commented on alleged Chinese election meddling. The action also follows through on pledges by President Xi Jinping to make China more open to foreign products.

Trump was broadly criticised after he appeared to side with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the United States intelligence community on the subject when they met in Helsinki, Finland, in July.

A representative from China who attended the meeting could be seen coughing into his hand and shrugging as the president spoke.

Woods was in position to nab his third-ever FedEx Cup trophy, but Rose's clutch birdie on the final hole gave him the edge. If I can make two fours there, I'm all of a sudden seven-under instead of five-under and probably in the last group".

"The Syrian regime's butchery is enabled by Russian Federation and Iran", Trump said. A Chinese official said China can not hold talks on ending the trade dispute while the USA "holds a knife" to Beijing's neck by imposing tariff hikes.

Trump announced China's interference at the United Nations Security Council earlier this week, claiming that Beijing fears his administration's victory.

The new duties would add to tariffs the USA has already imposed on $50bn in Chinese goods as part of that dispute, as well as tariffs that China levied on $50bn in U.S. goods in retaliation. But he said USA agencies were actively monitoring the situation ahead of the vote.

Trump, seated at the centre of an arc-shaped table, also uttered tough words against Iran, saying that a government with Iran's track record "must never be allowed to obtain" a nuclear weapon.

The U.S. has already imposed tariffs on $50 billion worth of Chinese goods, and China has retaliated on an equal amount on U.S. goods.

"I haven't received any briefing on this and would have if it was a serious threat", said Rep. Jim Himes, D-Conn., a member of the House intelligence committee.

While not particularly revealing, the measurement underscores the growing importance Facebook places on those secondary apps. Market-research firm eMarketer estimates Instagram's world-wide ad revenue will grow 110% this year to nearly $9 billion.

When Trump spoke about election meddling in the 2018 midterms, he did not mention Russian Federation - a country that the USA has punished with sanctions for attempting to influence the 2016 election.
