Kim Kardashian talks justice on second White House visit

Kardashian West, who may have felt right at home with the drama-infused atmosphere in the West Wing as it grapples with the fallout from Bob Woodward's new book, participated in a listening session on clemency and prison reform with several staffers, including the president's senior adviser and son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

"The discussion is mainly focused on ways to improve that process to ensure deserving cases receive a fair review".

Kardashian West met with President Trump in May and urged him to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson, a great-grandmother serving a life sentence for a nonviolent drug offense. She spoke past year with senior adviser and presidential son-in-law Jared Kushner, who also hosted Wednesday's session.

"Kim Kardashian is back at it again #Roommates!" She is trying to convince Trump to feel the same way, to reform legislation so the punishment fits the crime.

Kim set the ball rolling straight away and has since spoken to the Tennessee Judge Kevin Sharp - who resigned because the law forced him to give such a long sentence - and the pair of them are working with her team of lawyers to help release Chris.

According to a report from the Associated Press, Kardashian is at the White House Wednesday, September 5 for a meeting with Trump on criminal justice reform.

Kardashian spoke about her intentions during the Wrongful Conviction podcast with Jason Flom. He does, however, say that mandatory minimum sentences were at the heart of his decision and regrets Young's sentence.
