Sacha Baron Cohen did a remarkably uncomfortable interview with OJ Simpson

Although Sacha Baron Cohen repeatedly goaded the former felon in a clear attempt to get a confession out of Simpson, he failed to do so, as Simpson continually deflected the comedian's remarks by laughing them off.

During the sit-down with Simpson, Baron Cohen explained he had a business partner who wanted a private meeting to discuss Simpson's ex-wife. The reason? She was interviewed by Cohen for the show but was fooled by his prosthetics, and she took to Facebook to denounce him as a way to try to get ahead of the story so she could try to gain some semblance of control over the situation.

"First of all, she wasn't my wife", Simpson said of the late Nicole Brown Simpson.

As Monaldo, Cohen confided in Simpson that they were more alike than different by stating the two men were, "uh, how you say, 'lady killers'".

Simpson then called Christina "gorgeous", to which Gio replied: "You can enjoy her, just don't." he trailed off, making a stabbing motion again. He laughed along as Gio said things like, "Me and you, we got something in common".

Cohen then stated, "It's not what it sounds like". "We both, how you say, 'ladykillers'". Host Robin Roberts even pointed out that Palin was inadvertently giving a show she hated free publicity.

While Simpson stood his ground and asserted that he "didn't kill nobody", thus rendering Cohen's prank somewhat fruitless, many other high profile figures were not so lucky.

Palin has yet to comment on social media about being trolled by Cohen without actually being shown in the series, and did not yet respond to TooFab's request for comment.

Simpson's involvement in the series has been long-rumoured, with reports emerging earlier this year that suggested Baron Cohen had paid the former American football player $20,000 (£15,500) to appear on screen.
