"Of course it's hard to understand for people that Tottenham didn't sign or sell players, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently". I think the club is doing an wonderful effort to try to finish the stadium as soon as possible, and the lodge is finished at the training ground.

But Pochettino believes the club have acted on his demand in a different way.

But three months on the north Londoners have finished the summer without bringing in a single player - a first in the Premier League since the transfer window was introduced 15 years ago.

"If we can not improve our squad it's better to keep it together".

China's July exports rise more than expected despite US tariffs
So far, despite the rhetoric, only $37bn worth of imports into China and the U.S. have actually been affected. Washington has long criticised China's trade surplus with the United States and has demanded Beijing cut it.

"That is true, don't believe in £400m, that (£1bn) is the truth!"

"With Brexit it is worse because the cost is 30 percent more - that is a drama, I feel sorry for the English people - and then keeping the best players, for me [that] is to be fearless".

Pochettino said: "I don't have news now and to do so before the deadline would be so hard".

The summer market shut for the Premier League today with Alderweireld still a Spurs player. They are Tottenham players and always they were in my plans.

Michael Jordan says 'I support' LeBron James after Trump attack
James spoke to Lemon from his new " I Promise school ", which will support at-risk students in his native Akron, Ohio. The three-part series will track the NBA's growth and history, beginning with the 1976 NBA-ABA merger.

"I think we have a very competitive squad, of course that we are hoping to improve, but if you can not improve the most important thing is trying to keep your best team, your best players".

"I don't feel the panic in football. It's a courageous decision".

The likes of Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Jan Vertonghen, Kieran Trippier and Hugo Lloris only started their pre-season training over the past two weeks but Pochettino is hopeful they will be able to play some part against Newcastle on Saturday. If we have all the squad thinking as individuals rather than as a collective game, you can not achieve what you want and can not succeed. You need to be clever in how you settle your principles, your strategy and to try to win. "That is the key this season".

Bills acquire WR Corey Coleman from Browns
Once a former first-round pick of the Browns in 2016, Coleman sounds motivated to prove his now former team wrong. It'd be totally fine if the Browns truly felt that Corey Coleman wasn't going to develop into the star wideout.
