"We have no speed limit".

President Trump met with Kim Yong-un on June 12 for an unprecedented summit in Singapore, during which the North Korean leader repeated a pledge to denuclearise his country.

Russia's RIA news agency, citing Moscow's envoy to Pyongyang, reported on Wednesday that a summit between the leaders of Russian Federation and North Korea is "on the agenda" and that it would be "logical" to raise the idea of lifting sanctions. "Russia has agreed to help with North Korea, where relationships with us are very good and the process is moving along", he said.

Speaking to reporters during a meeting with members of Congress at the White House on Tuesday, Mr Trump said, "We have no time limit".

Pompeo unveiled the plan for talks after visiting Pyongyang this month, touting it as one of key issues on which the two sides had made progress, though the North accused his delegation of making "gangster-like" demands in connection with denuclearization during the trip. The Trump administration asked the United Nations to formally reprimand Russian Federation and China for their role in helping North Korea evade sanctions.

Trump noted Wednesday that there is "no rush" and that sanctions against the regime are still in place.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also seems to be in favor of a fast denuclearization process.

The president's latest comments on the timeline for denuclearisation appear to shift from his position ahead of the summit with Mr Kim, when he said denuclearisation should start "without delay".
