George Clooney reportedly sustains minor injuries in scooter crash in Italy

Hollywood legend George Clooney sustained minor injuries after being involved in an accident while riding a motorized scooter in Sardinia, Italy on Tuesday morning, according to local media.

The American actor, 57, was bruised in the collision, but was was later released from the hospital near Olbia in Sardinia after a CT scan revealed no broken bones.

Clooney is now on the island filming a new TV series "Catch-22", based off the book of the same name written by Joseph Heller.

The group was found dishevelled and hungry by British cave diving specialists nine days after they ventured in. One of the boys, identified as Tun, wrote: "Mom and Dad, please don't worry, I am fine".


The paper also tweeted a photo of his scooter abandoned by the side of the road with a Mercedes estate vehicle just feet away.

The actor was reportedly taken to the emergency room of the John Paul II (Giovanni Paolo II) hospital, which is in Olbia, Sardinia.

A photo from the Italian website La Nuova showed the car's windshield cracked.

Calls and emails to Clooney's spokesman in regards to the accident weren't immediately returned, according to Associated Press.

Earlier that month George was seen driving around the island on a scooter with Amal clinging on tightly behind him.

It was announced in April that the multi-talented star was reducing his role in the Hulu production so he could concentrate on his directing and producing credits.

The saving grace is that Rondo's contract is for one year, meaning it won't compromise the Lakers' cap space for next offseason. James will make his next public comments on July 30 in Akron when he opens a public school started by his family foundation.


Clooney has a home with his wife, human rights lawyer Amal, on the Italian mainland, on Lake Como.
