Iran considers Europe's offer to salvage nuclear agreement insufficient

The Friday meeting in Vienna will convene foreign ministers of Iran, France, Germany, Russia, Britain and China for the first time after the United States withdrawal from the agreement.

"After the withdrawal of the United States, which we can't understand, we face a hard situation", he said.

Foreign ministers from the five remaining signatories will discuss the European proposal with Iranian officials in Vienna on Friday.

Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on world powers who are still committed to the nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic to make verifiable and actionable commitments to save the accord reached in 2015.

Washington has warned other countries to end trade and investment in Iran and stop buying its oil by early November or face punitive measures.

Meanwhile, officials have issued evacuation advisories for the Berryessa Highlands, Markley Cove Resort and Pleasure Cove resort. On Monday, firefighters were working to control a wildfire in Yolo County that had grown to 44,500 acres overnight.

Friday's statement lists key fields to support Iran to secure its economic interests, including "the maintenance and promotion of wider economic and sectoral relations with Iran; the preservation and maintenance of effective financial channels with Iran; the continuation of Iran's export of oil and gas condensate, petroleum products and petrochemicals; the continuation of sea (including shipping and insurance), land, air and rail transportation relations", manly to shield the country's backbone of the economic sector from USA sanctions.

Foreign ministers from the remaining signatories met in Vienna today to work around continuing U.S. efforts to kill the deal, but U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, was missing.

"We all know that we want to stay in the nuclear deal, and we believe that we should keep talks in a quite atmosphere", she said.

Since Trump s announcement, Iran s rial currency has fallen, prices have risen and the country has been hit by street protests and strikes.

Iran has suffered worsening financial turbulence since US President Donald Trump abandoned the accord in May.

More than 1,200 people were fighting the so-called County Fire , located about 75 miles (120 kms) northeast of San Francisco. More firefighters were arriving to battle the blaze that has prompted the evacuation of more than 2,000 homes.

US-Iran relations have been hostile since the 1979 overthrow of the US-backed shah and the US embassy hostage crisis.

Washington considers Iran a state sponsor of terrorism, with links to Lebanon s Hezbollah, Hamas in the Palestinian territories and networks in Iraq and Yemen, and demands it cease support of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. Iran has said it had nothing to do with the plot and has demanded the official be released without delay.

The large rally last Saturday attracted several USA politicians, including former NY mayor Rudy Giuliani, now Trump s personal lawyer.

Tehran dismissed it is an orchestrated "false flag ploy", created to discredit Iran and overshadow Rouhani's trip to Europe.
