Mount Agung: Jetstar and Indonesia AirAsia to resume flights

AirAsia cancelled 6.30pm and 8pm flights on Thursday between Denpasar and Perth, as well as the 7.30pm Denpasar to Perth flight amid fears the ash could affect the aircraft engines.

The fresh activity threatens to create travel chaos after Mount Agung eruption in November stranded thousands and pounded Bali's lucrative tourism industry and wider economy.

According to a report, the Disaster Mitigation Agency stated that the airport closure will begin from June 29, 2018, until the situation gets normal.

The airport had been closed since 3 a.m. local time on Friday.
