Twitter Suspends Journalists Sharing Stephen Miller's Personal Phone Number

Amid flailing immigration bills and widespread controversy over administration enforcement of undocumented immigrants and asylum seekers, a Republican member of Congress has called on President Donald Trump to fire Stephen Miller, a senior White House adviser known for his far-right views.

Shortly after the article was published, left-wing journalists began to share it across Twitter, which resulted in Miller's phone being inundated with aggressive phone calls and texts.

But the executive order, a Health and Human Services official said, doesn't at all address reuniting families already separated. The new policy of mandatory family separation puts the core bigotry of the Trump administration on display.


Even as criticism and opposition to the family separation policy grows, Politico reported that Miller and other aides have been planning increased immigration raids and other actions in the lead-up to the 2018 midterms.

"The Trump administration's policy of separating immigrant children from their families has been credited primarily to the strenuous efforts of White House advisor Stephen Miller", the article read. Twitter doesn't allow users to post private information about someone else without their consent, and this rule doesn't have an exception for people responsible for intensely controversial policies.

In a previous interview with the Atlantic's McKay Coppins, Miller said that he had seen "value" in "constructive controversy-with the objective of enlightenment". That could have been a huge danger, as there are a lot of people who are angry at Miller over the cruel policies he has reportedly pushed inside the White House.

"Today, we temporarily blocked accounts that shared this information until they deleted the Tweet that violated our rules", a Twitter spokesman was quoted as saying.

The social media site later announced it was no longer blocking accounts because Mr. Miller's cell was "no longer a valid number".
