Donald Trump to seek complete irreversible denuclearisation of Korean Peninsula: White House

Such a move might force the USA to halt the meeting, a presidential spokesman said yesterday.

Chief diplomats from the United States and South Korea said Friday that a complete denuclearization by North Korea requires robust verification, and that sanctions against Pyongyang would not be lifted unless it took concrete and further steps toward denuclearization.

The three men, along with medical personnel, including a psychiatrist, were cloistered in the middle of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's plane in a small section of 12 seats that was cordoned off by curtains on both ends.

On Wednesday (May 9), Mr Trump told reporters the summit would not be held in the DMZ.

Their plane made brief stops at a U.S. air base in Japan and in Alaska en route to Washington.
