Whatsapp Enables Re-download of Deleted Media on Android Devices

WhatsApp on Android will let users re-download old media messages, including videos and images that might have been deleted from the user's mobile storage.

WhatsApp for Android has added a new feature in its latest updates. But now the messaging app enables you to download such files as well. If these files were sent over WhatsApp, you might be pleased to learn that they might not be lost completely because according to WABetaInfo, Android users of WhatsApp will now be able to redownload delete files. For now, this new feature is available only for the Android users and further tests are currently underway.

WhatsApp previously stored "undownloaded" media content on its servers for 30 days and deleted it as soon as the user viewed it on their device. The only condition is that the message, which had the media attachment should not have been deleted by the sender, otherwise the download will not possible.
