Sean Hannity Accepts Jimmy Kimmel's Apology But Thinks Disney Is Behind It

Kimmel ended the fighting on Sunday with a tweet apologizing for bringing the LGBTQ community into the vitriol, saying, "I, too, will give my words more thought...." The war of words escalated with Hannity posting old clips of Kimmel from "The Man Show" and calling him "Harvey Weinstein jr".

Hannity was likely referring to Kimmel's comments in his apology, in which he said, "By lampooning Sean Hannity's deference to the President, I most certainly did not intend to belittle or upset members of the gay community". Should Kimmel restart the feud, Hannity informed him that his producers have plenty of unflattering footage of the ABC host that is right now safe in storage. At least for now: Hannity promised that he was ready to fight again, should Kimmel ever traffic in the kind of ad hominem attacks for which the Fox News host apparently has no patience. Kimmel fired back during his own show before the two TV personalities took their quarrel to Twitter.

Kimmel, in his Twitter message, said he hopes Hannity will "continue his newly-found advocacy for women, immigrants and First Ladies".

Hannity called Kimmel's words from the previous day a "forced Disney corporate apology" while admitted that he does "enjoy a good fight". Trump, who is originally from Slovenia, speaks English with a pronounced Central European accent.

Kimmel added a backhanded swipe at the bombastic Fox News host over his outrage at Kimmel's brief impersonation of the first lady. "But now that Trump is president", Kimmel suggested, "Sean Hannity is unable to have anything but an erection. That's what my religion teaches me, and I'm gonna assume he's honest", he said.

On Monday's edition of "Hannity", the Fox News host declared that he accepted Kimmel's apology - but issued a warning.

Hannity said, "I read the apology carefully-a couple of things are clear to me".

As I was watching the inappropriate, unprofessional response from Kimmel (directed toward Hannity) for his unacceptable, disrespectful mocking of the president's wife included in his monologue the night before, the question that came to my mind was, "What can a person do to stop this trashy, disrespectful discourse?"

Sean - and full disclosure I write columns over there at the Hannity website - has also invited ex-FBI Director James Comey on both his radio and TV shows.
