Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James lamented the fact his team fell behind by 30 points in Friday night's 132-130 road loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, but he said the comeback effort that came up just short showcased the Cavs' upside.

He scored 13 points over the final six minutes, and either scored or assisted on eight of Cleveland's last nine field goals. That brings us to the playoff picture, with Philly now a half-game up on Cleveland with three games remaining.

JJ Redick poured in 28 points and the Sixers' bench outscored the Cavaliers bench 56-25 on the back of 23 from Marco Belinelli and a had his best game as a 17-point, 11 rebound double double from Ersan Ilyasova.

Washington's Bradley Beal then hit a 3-pointer to make it a 17-point game, but the Cavs came all the way back with James leading the way.

Green finished with 21 points for the Cavs, while Love had 16. The spirits in Philadelphia are at an all-time high, the Process has reached its next evolutionary stage, and it seems more likely than not that the Sixers will make noise in the playoffs for the first time since the Allen Iverson era.

Chris Sheridan, formerly of ESPN and the Associated Press and who now writers for, explained in a story posted Thursday why James will leave Cleveland again in free agency this summer.

Cleveland has a chance to tie the game with 1.9 seconds left as Covington fouled James attempting to throw up a desperation jump shot.

"I think everyone is coming together as a team".

Behind Wall, Beal and Porter - and helped by some disgusting shots by the Cavs - the Wizards went on an 11-0 run to take an 82-76 lead with three minutes left in the third quarter.

If the seedings all hold as-is, Cleveland would get the Miami Heat in the first round in the three/six pairing. While that's all bad, the team does have a playoff spot clinched - they'll be either the sixth, seventh, or eighth seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs. But he had a costly turnover in the closing seconds and the Wizards couldn't put away the Cavs down the stretch. "I just know we're playing some good ball". With the recent news of Kyrie Irving missing the rest of the season, the value of that third seed has risen exponentially.

"It's been like four seasons in one", James said. In each of their last 3 postseason runs, they've run through the Eastern Conference Playoffs like a Ferrari racing against Toyotas, and have been way ahead of the pack on both ends of the court.
