NY Trump Tower Fire On 50th Floor Out, One Injured

A fire broke out in Trump Tower in New York City on Saturday.

Videos on social media show licking flames and stunned onlookers watching from the ground.

"Thank you to the fantastic men and women of the NYFD who extinguished a fire in a residential apartment at @TrumpTower".

"We had one minor injury to a firefighter, some debris fell on him", FDNY Chief Roger Sakowich said at the time. Firemen (and women) did a great job. Four firefigthers suffered minor injuries, including two with burns.

In late January, a fire in the heating and air conditioning system on top of the building injured three people.

The fire was initially labeled as a 2-alarm fire. but has recently been upgraded to a 3-alarm fire by FDNY.

Some smoke reached some of floors above the fire, he said, but it was unclear if it had reached Mr. Trump's residence.
